4th of July Powwow
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians' Fourth of July Powwow on the Qualla Boundary: three days of competition dancing in regalia, drum groups, Native food and craft vendors, and fireworks against the mountains. Held at the Acquoni Expo Center (the old Cherokee High School site) in Cherokee; in 2026 it ran July 3–5. Grand entry times and admission are posted by Visit Cherokee each summer.
