Brevard Plein Air Festival

A week of painting outdoors across Transylvania County. Two dozen-plus invited artists set up easels on downtown Brevard sidewalks, in local shops and out at the waterfalls and overlooks, and the week builds to a two-hour Quick Draw competition downtown, a ticketed Patrons Preview at the historic Trust Center on Friday evening, and the sale of the finished paintings. Watching the artists work is free; an introductory plein air workshop opens the week. Run by Heart of Brevard (the 2026 festival was the sixth).
