Carolina Mountains Literary Festival

Three days of writers and readers in downtown Burnsville, an hour northeast of Asheville: author talks, readings and workshops across genres, most of them free, plus a ticketed banquet and keynote. Helene cut 2025 to a one-day benefit event; the full festival returned September 10–12, 2026, with Daniel Wallace (Big Fish) as keynote.
