LEAF Festival (Fall)

Kid-friendly

LEAF — the Lake Eden Arts Festival — filled the old Black Mountain College grounds at Lake Eden with roots and world music, dance, art and lakeside camping twice a year from 1995 on. The 30th-anniversary festival, October 17–19, 2025, is the last one held: the fall 2026 edition was cancelled that May, LEAF Global Arts ceased operations on August 21, 2026, and its youth arts programs moved to Camp Grier. No 2027 festival has been announced by anyone. What continues on the land is the Lake Eden Reunion, October 16–18, 2026 at Lake Eden Retreat and Camp Rockmont with The Grey Eagle curating the music — an independent, deliberately smaller gathering (about 2,000 people) that says plainly it is not an official LEAF. Details and passes at lakeedenretreat.com/reunion.

Every year

LEAF Festival (Fall) returns every year, typically the third weekend of October, but none is scheduled: the fall 2026 festival was cancelled, LEAF Global Arts closed in August 2026 and no 2027 date has been announced.
